Ian, you are so very correct. The difference between Dorset and Botswana is so great but each place has its good and bad sides. It is very beautiful here when the sun is out and the beaches get packed easily on such beautiful days. I never knew life on the coast could be so serene and beautiful. I guess I appreciate it better because I moved from a land locked country to an island. As for the rains, it sure does pour.

I hope Dorset’s treating you well- it’s a beautiful part of the world and I have many happy memories of holidaying there! I always think it’s one of the few remaining unspoilt corners of England and some of the scenery is just breathtaking. Sarah’s right about the climate though- I’m sure you will have found that when it’s sunny it’s absolutely beautiful but when it rains it really does pour! Must be quite a change from Botswana I imagine!

Good luck in your new home! England, even the South Coast will be a bit of a shock, climate wise. However, I am sure you will adjust and have a wonderful experience. So many new things to explore.
